Retroactive Public Goods Funding
What is retroactive public goods funding
Why is retroactive goods funding important/ so helpful?
Vitalik speaks about retroactive public goods funding at 28:45.
Pomelo, Eden, Fractally, and Eden ƒractal provide excellent tools for retroactive public goods funding!
Eden Fractal on Pomelo
The following conversation provides an overview of Eden ƒractal’s interactions with Pomelo. There is also much more information about how the Eden community has raised funds from Pomelo and more details will be added soon.
How To Distribute Funding to Eden
There are many ways to fund Eden and help people cooperate, but there are also significant regulatory barriers that constrain Eden’s ability to raise funding.
Originally we were planning to create liquidity for respect because this enables communities to cooperate with independence, enjoyment, efficiency to benefit all. However, misguided changes in the regulatory environment have caused us to change our plans and find other ways to fund prosocial work for the benefit for humanity. We’re writing about these in draft articles about risks and solutions.
Below are some innovative solutions that may help Eden raise funding while complying with regulations and minimizing liabilities for participants.

Collaborating with more community members for funding
Add Jorge to the funding pitch plan page and reach out sometime soon. Jorge mentioned he needed funds for developers and he’s committed to fractal democracy. I can advocate for Jorge in a similar way to advocating for Tadas and Vlad. I can also advocate for Eric, Matthias, Douglas, and anyone else who is hosting a fractal.
Paste writing from Eden Fractal chat about Pomelo pitch and in other places promoting how much benefit funding can create
Also review ETH 42, ETH 41, EF 41, and EF 40 about this. Some of these have more pitches about why funding is so helpful
