The Story of ECOS

Eden Creators was originally inspired by the desire to create awesome videos, but I soon realized how the processes to coordinate video production could be generalized to coordinate any other kind of helpful work.
With the collaborative processes designed for Eden Creators, any community can coordinate any kind of helpful work that we can imagine….
The exciting potential for this generalizable collaborative process inspired me to build ECOS.
ECOS is a cooperating system that empowers communities to cooperate, coordinate, and collaborate.
While traditional operating systems empower individuals to operate with individual computers, ECOS empowers communities to cooperate with community computers (such as EOS). The potential benefits of community computers are incredibly profound and ECOS can greatly help everyone in the world cooperate to make the best experiences possible.
ECOS emerged as an acronym for Eden Creators OS and is greatly inspired by Eden OS. ECOS shares many similarities with the ideas that Dan Larimer has shared about the next version of Eden, such as Weekly Eden Events, community tokens, and EOS community owned liquidity.
In addition to these exciting features, ECOS includes a growing selection of helpful modules to empower communities with many unprecedented superpowers, as well as templates and quick start guides to help anyone easily start cooperating their community.
Soon we plan to share comprehensive ECOS cooperating instructions to help empower communities. With the ECOS Cooperating Manual, we aim to distill the most helpful ideas, tools, and processes that anyone can use to empower their community and cooperate to make the best experiences possible. For the past decade, I’ve been diligently creating detailed notes and all kinds of exciting content to serve as foundations for thousands of helpful communities. I’ve created many thousands of pages of helpful notes, images, music, videos, ideas, art, and plans that are organized into content repositories for each prospective community and ready to be shared. You can think of these content repositories as ‘mimetic seeds’ to grow helpful communities or ‘kindling material’ to spark helpful innovation.
In the coming months, I will open source all of this work with ECOS to help empower communities and make the best experiences possible. The combination of open source content, helpful new collaborative processes, and incredible work from countless amazing people can empower us to create abundance, independence, and joy for all!

I won’t get into the details too much here, but the general idea of the thread is that EOS is ready to greatly empower everyone in the world to cooperate all kinds of helpful communities and accomplish all kinds of helpful goals.
With ECOS, we can build DACs to help us accomplish any kind of exciting goal or purpose that we can imagine. For every interest or goal that someone may have, ECOS can help.
For example, we can build Fitness DACs to help everyone become healthier, happier, stronger, and more fit!
We can build Surfing DACs to help everyone experience the joys of surfing and create endless summers of amazing surf films….
We can create Exploration DACs, Music DACs, and Nature DACs to help us explore the great outdoors, make wonderful music, and amplify beauty…
There are so many exciting communities that we can build with ECOS!
