Genesis ƒractal was a pioneering community that explored fractal democracy over 30 weeks in 2022, involving 138 participants. The experiment concluded successfully, and resources, including videos and dashboards, are available for further learning. The page is under development for future updates.
What is Genesis ƒractal?
Genesis ƒractal was the first and leading community pioneering the ƒractally process. This community meet for 30 weeks with 138 unique participants to experiment with the fractal democracy throughout 2022. The following article curates resources about the experiment and the communities that grew from it. Please note that it is a work in progress and will be updated in the future.
You can watch videos from each Genesis Fractal weekly meeting this Video Playlist. You can learn more about fractally at Fractally.com and this Intro to ƒractally Video. The Genesis experiment ended on September 24, 2022 and the majority of community members concluded that it was a great success. You can see comprehensive dashboards with more details created by an esteemed engineer here.
Note: Please note that this page in an early stage of development. We’re looking forward to updating it soon to provide a much better introduction to Genesis ƒractal.
Early Implementations of Fractally
Building on these early successes, the ƒractally team released their groundbreaking whitepaper in 2022, providing comprehensive blueprints for implementing fractal democracy. This research showed how combining peer evaluation, nested consensus building, and sophisticated resource allocation could enable sustainable public goods funding while fostering genuine democratic participation.
The Genesis Fractal provided crucial testing grounds for these ideas through an intensive 30-week experiment where an average of 32 participants joined each week to refine these processes. You can learn more about these foundational initiatives in our article on The History of Fractal Communities. This intensive period of development established core patterns that continue informing implementation.
