Brainstorming

Intro

In late 2022 and early 2023, Patrick Schmid from NovaCrypto hosted and organized biweekly Eden Fractal Brainstorming Sessions (EFBS) to help the community make decisions.

Eden Fractal community members join these brainstorming sessions and discuss solutions to improve cooperation during weekly Eden Fractal meetings. Along the way they document their insights into the EFBS mindmap, which you can see here. The brainstorming sessions have played a profoundly helpful role in the development of many exciting developments so far, such as Cagendas, Vlalendas, moderation guidelines, and the community MSIG. You can watch all the brainstorming sessions in this playlist on the NovaCrypto YouTube channel.

In this article you can read suggestions for the next topics to brainstorm and curated content about previous brainstorming sessions. Please note that this article is an early work in progress and will be updated soon. The videos and timestamps show below are created by NovaCrypto LTD. Thanks for reading, enjoy!

EFBS 7: The Role of Delegates

EFBS 6: Delegate Proxies

Patrick hosted the sixth Eden Fractal Brainstorming Session, where six community leaders explored ideas about delegating proxies and alternate representatives when cooperating with Eden+Fractal. The group agreed to continue exploring this topic in the future and that one of the immediate takeaways is to encourage participants in Eden Fractal events to carefully ask delegate candidates questions to see if they qualify for the role.

You can watch the full brainstorming session and navigate timestamps here, see a follow up post from Patrick here, and see Dan summarize this at the beginning of the meeting. You can also help promote the session and learn more about brainstorming session by engaging with the swarmed tweet.

Suggested Topics for EFBS 8

Here are a few topics that we could discuss during the next Eden Fractal Brainstorming Session:

Participant Agreement

The agreement could start with simple terms to ensure that everyone speaks English, explicitly consents that videos are shared publicly, and understands the timing of events. In the future we could gradually propose more terms with an iterative approach as the community sees fit. This agreement can be helpful to set expectations clearly, protect the community from liabilities, and cooperate more effectively.
