Joining ƒractals Early to Receive More Respect
Another reason to join sooner (in addition to being fun, rewarding, and all that mentioned above) is the outsized respect for early contributors. With the addendum that was passed and the math refinements to the amount of respect distributed each week , there’s now less than a million respect distributed each week and week the total amount of respect distributed each week is reducing by something like 1%. So the earlier and more frequently you join, the more respect you can earn.
One last reason to join earlier is the amount of respect that is multiplied by team contributions and the potential benefits of this respect. Currently the way teams work is that each teams earn the same amount of respect as each team member, so participating in a team essentially doubles respect. Since we started the team last month the eden fractal team has earned something like 1.5% of the respect in genesis fractal (in addition to Eden fractal individual participants, who have earned something like 20% of respect so far). With the team respect, I think it could be a great idea to form mutual respect liquidity pools between Genesis Fractal, Eden Fractal, EOS, and applications like CETF and Consortium. I’m not sure how it would work yet but I think there’s a lot of potential to increase mutual respect and liquidity for all these projects… and participating in Genesis fractal meetings now is a great way to earn lots of respect….
The more respect that the Eden fractal team earns in the Genesis fractal, the more mutual respect eden fractal and liquidity can form with Genesis fractal. I believe Genesis fractal will be one of the most respected communities in the world, so this mutual respect can be super helpful for Eden fractal. This liquidity and mutual respect can also be ‘bridged’ towards communities that are closely aligned with Eden fractal, such as CETF and consortium.
after about a year the Genesis fractal respect token distribution will greatly reduce to about 5% per year, so the near future is the best opportunity for us to build mutual respect for Eden fractal and related communities.
Proposal for Eden ƒractal Team Respect
- Specifically, I think that the respect earned by the Eden ƒractal team should probably be used to form mutual respect liquidity pools between Eden ƒractal and Genesis ƒractal. Perhaps also with EOS and other EOS communities.
- I’ve also been thinking that the Albedo proposal could potentially play a role here. There’s a lot to explore, but in general forming mutual respect seems to be an excellent way to help promote Eden ƒractal, Genesis ƒractal, and EOS.
- Jorge has also expressed intention to form mutual respect liquidity pools and I think others on the team will agree that this is a great idea, though I don’t think this has been discussed much by the whole team yet. I’ve been thinking about this a lot for the past few days and planning to suggest this to the team soon….
- I’d love to hear your thoughts on the distribution for team respect and any other ideas you may have for the team. We haven’t defined much yet and I think the team is flexible to go with whatever ideas are best for the community.

- Thoughts about math refinement to token distribution?
- How difficult would this be?
- Math seems like it could be complex to code or not that difficult to add equation?
- Their equations are changing often still, so it prob makes sense to not put it on chain until it is more mature.
- Ie in feb the Fractally genesis will make decision, so we could do it then and that will be basically ‘cemented’ then…
- if we do it earlier then Fractally team makes a big and innovation as they often do with the math then it could be difficult for us to change and take advantage of the distribution.
- So we could potentially do it earlier but we should be very careful about this and in many ways I can make the most sense to wait until they do it to learn from their experience.
- And I think it probably makes sense to wait for the liquidity auntie the actual token amount is decided and the math is decided. Otherwise I feel like it would get messy, So we can be very careful about this and it may be possible to do liquidity before The refinement of the math, but I’m not sure and that could mess a lot of things up to, so we need to think carefully about this and figure out how it could work and of course if we do wait until the refinement of the math is done then that makes it so that it’s not an issue
