Not all the data needs to be on-chain. The respect distribution is on-chain. The voting can take place entirely off-chain when it is on video with a shared screen on google docs and it’s easy for each person to verify visually.
We can set up large spreadsheet like Tadas did for the 3
Google sheets can show the tally of respect voted for each person
It can be sort of similar to the game from pixeos or that reddit game with pixels…. But anyone can allocate their respect to different timeslots. And they can do it with complete flexibility bc they can easily
The rightmost columns can show a tally sum of all the respect that someone has allocated on the time chart. Just to the right of that could be a counter. We could freeze the right most and leftmost columns so you can always see it
Then we could potentially also use table and graphic functionality in google sheets to view it differently
This graph functionality is a potentially super helpful and impressive feature that’s enabled by cignals+sheets. I should write more about these and play with it and show examples of the charts and graphs.
In many cases Consortium and fully on-chain voting is much better for cignals.
But cignals can work with much more flexibility when parts of off-chain. The fact that the respect distribution is on-chain is a foundation that serves as an anchor. Then the fact that we’re on video and google docs is transparent enough where
This would take some playing around to perfect. Would be good to go in with game mentality. Experimenting mentality. It may not provide smooth experience to choose time effectively in the first time we try it. The spreadsheet and process may require improvements. Definitely seems great to explore, but dont’ put too much expectations or pressure on it to provide perfect solution immediately. It may take several weeks or months of refining and experimenting to get it right.
In a way, the spreadsheet that tadas made for Eden+Fractal is already a form of cignals
I could potentially add the spreadsheets that tadas and Jiyon made to the cignals page as well…
